Section 45.35. Contribution.

No loan may be made under this subchapter unless, in addition to the closing costs that the person may be required to pay, the person has available, and applies on the total cost of the property for which the loan is made, an amount equivalent to at least 5 percent of the total cost. The amount may consist of money or other assets, including equity in real property. This section does not apply to a permanently and totally disabled veteran.
