    2015 WISCONSIN ACT 274
    An Act to amend 20.435 (5) (cf) and 20.435 (5) (cf) of the statutes; relating to: dementia training grants for mobile crisis teams and making an appropriation.
    The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
    Section 1 . 20.435 (5) (cf) of the statutes is amended to read:
    20.435 (5) (cf) Mobile crisis team grants. Biennially, the amounts in the schedule for awarding grants to counties or regions to establish certified crisis programs that create mental health mobile crisis teams under s. 46.536 and to provide training to mobile crisis teams on dementia under 2015 Wisconsin Act .... (this act), section 3m (1) .
    Section 1m . 20.435 (5) (cf) of the statutes, as affected by 2015 Wisconsin Act .... (this act), is amended to read:
    20.435 (5) (cf) Mobile crisis team grants. Biennially, the amounts in the schedule for awarding grants to counties or regions to establish certified crisis programs that create mental health mobile crisis teams under s. 46.536 and to provide training to mobile crisis teams on dementia under 2015 Wisconsin Act .... (this act), section 3m (1) .
    Section 3m . Nonstatutory provisions.
    (1) Dementia training grants. From the appropriation under section 20.435 (5) (cf) of the statutes in fiscal year 2016-17 only, the department of health services shall award grants in the total amount of $250,000 to counties or regions comprising multiple counties to obtain training for their mobile crisis teams on recognizing and providing services to individuals with dementia.
    (2) Dementia training grant base adjustment. Notwithstanding section 16.42 (1) (e) of the statutes, in submitting information under section 16.42 of the statutes for purposes of the 2017-19 biennial budget bill, the department of health services shall submit information concerning the appropriation under section 20.435 (5) (cf) of the statutes as though the increase in the dollar amount of that appropriation by Section 4 of this act had not been made.
    Section 4 . 0 Fiscal changes.
    (1) Dementia training grants. In the schedule under section 20.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the department of health services under section 20.435 (5) (cf) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 2015, the dollar amount for fiscal year 2016-17 is increased by $250,000 to provide grants for dementia training for mobile crisis teams under Section 3m (1) of this act.
    Section 5m . Effective dates. This act takes effect on the day after publication, except as follows:
    (1) The treatment of section 20.435 (5) (cf) (by Section 1m) of the statutes takes effect on July 1, 2017.
