2013 WISCONSIN ACT 132

An Act to create 20.435 (5) (cf) and 46.536 of the statutes; relating to: grants for certified crisis programs that create mental health mobile crisis units and making an appropriation.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

Section 1 . 20.005 (3) (schedule) of the statutes: at the appropriate place, insert the following amounts for the purposes indicated: - See PDF for table

Section 2 . 20.435 (5) (cf) of the statutes is created to read:

20.435 (5) (cf) Mobile crisis team grants. Biennially, the amounts in the schedule for awarding grants to counties or regions to establish certified crisis programs that create mental health mobile crisis teams under s. 46.536.

Section 3 . 46.536 of the statutes is created to read:

46.536 Mobile crisis team grants. From the appropriation under s. 20.435 (5) (cf), the department shall award grants in the total amount of $250,000 in each fiscal biennium to counties or regions comprised of multiple counties to establish certified crisis programs that create mental health mobile crisis teams to serve individuals having mental health crises in rural areas. The department shall award a grant under this section in an amount equal to one-half the amount of money the county or region provides to establish certified crisis programs that create mobile crisis teams.
