An Act
to renumber
946.70 (1);
to amend
946.70 (title) and 946.70 (2); and
to create
946.70 (1) (b), (c) and (d) of the statutes;
relating to:
impersonating certain officials and providing a penalty.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

946.70 (title) of the statutes is amended to read:

946.70 (1) of the statutes is renumbered 946.70 (1) (a).
Section

946.70 (1) (b), (c) and (d) of the statutes are created to read:

(1)
(b) Except as provided in sub. (2), whoever impersonates a fire fighter with intent to mislead others into believing that the person is actually a fire fighter is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.
(c) Except as provided in sub. (2), whoever impersonates an emergency medical technician, as defined in s. 256.01 (5), with intent to mislead others into believing that the person is actually an emergency medical technician is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.
(d) Except as provided in sub. (2), whoever impersonates a first responder, as defined in s. 256.01 (9), with intent to mislead others into believing that the person is actually a first responder is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.
